Renault Group Morocco has decided to temporarily suspend its industrial activities in Morocco, starting from Thursday, March 19, in both Tangier and Casablanca, the company said in a press release.

The decision, taken to avoid the spread of the novel coronavirus, will affect 11,000 employees from the firm’s two industrial sites in Morocco.

«Some positions, whose physical presence is not essential to the well-functioning of the business, will make use of remote working», Renault said.

«The Group plans to restart production activities as soon as conditions permit and will implement appropriate measures to respond effectively to customer demand in the Kingdom and on an international scale», the same communiqué read.
