Algeria repatriates its nationals stranded in Morocco

An Air Algérie flight has repatriated 229 Algerians who have been stranded in Morocco since March. The plane landed, Sunday, at the Houari Boumediene international airport.

According to Algerian news agency APS, the plane left the Casablanca airport at midnight and arrived in Algiers at 2:30 am. The same source indicates that 600 Algerians were repatriated from France on Saturday via two planes.

«These flights are part of the repatriation program of Algerian nationals stranded abroad, due to the suspension of air traffic», it indicated, adding that more than 8,000 Algerian nationals have been repatriated since the start of the health crisis.

During the weekend, Morocco repatriated a group of Moroccans stranded in Algeria, through three Royal Air Maroc flights connecting Algiers to Oujda.
