Morocco, Senegal reinforce long-standing alliance at 15th joint commission

The 15th session of the Joint High Commission between Morocco and Senegal, held in Rabat, marked a significant advancement in bilateral relations, with the signing of 17 cooperation frameworks across various sectors. Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and his Senegalese counterpart Ousmane Sonko underscored the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and economic ties between the two nations, emphasizing a shared vision for strategic partnerships and regional integration.

After 13 years, Morocco and Senegal relaunch the Joint High commission

After thirteen years of waiting, Morocco and Senegal are set to convene the 15th session of the Morocco–Senegal Joint High Commission. This revival comes amid a context of heightened sensitivity following the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, held on January 18 in Rabat, where the Atlas Lions were defeated by the Lions of Teranga.
