International hotel chain Radisson is planning to boost its presence in Morocco ahead of the 2030 World Cup. The hotel chain’s ambitious plan consists of increasing the number of properties it owns in Morocco to 25, it said Monday in a press release. Radisson currently manages 11 properties in the Kingdom.

Radisson will mostly focus on the cities of Casablanca and Marrakech, with plans to open properties in other destinations, such Rabat, Tangier, Agadir and Fez.

«The introduction of the Radisson brand with the imminent opening of the Radisson Hotel Casablanca Gauthier La Citadelle, in the Gauthier district of Casablanca, marks a notable development. This new establishment will be the flagship of the Radisson brand in Morocco, marking the entry of a new brand for the group in the country and underlining our commitment to quality and diversified expansion», said Erwan Garnier, senior director, development, Africa at Radisson Hotel Group.

Radisson's five-year plan in Morocco consists of creating a portfolio that includes hotels, serviced apartments, premium mixed-use projects and resorts.
