British low-cost airline Jet2 has announced plans to expand its operations in Morocco, offering year-round access to the North African country from several major UK airports. The first flights were operated on Thursday, October 3.
The initial routes include flights from Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, and Manchester to Agadir. Services from Bristol (October 6) and Glasgow (November 3) are also scheduled, reports Express.
Starting October 4, Jet2 has expanded its offerings with new flights to Marrakech from Birmingham, Manchester, and London Stansted. Additionally, the company will launch its Marrakech program from Glasgow on November 4.
This expansion of flights and holidays to Morocco is in response to growing demand from customers and travel agents seeking new cultural destinations and guaranteed sunshine, stated Jet2.
Jet2's Chief Executive, Steve Heapy, expressed enthusiasm for the new routes, highlighting the beauty and culture of Agadir and Marrakech. With the UK's unpredictable weather, Heapy believes that these destinations offer a much-needed escape to sunshine.
