On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, King Mohammed VI has granted a royal pardon to 1,533 individuals convicted by various courts across the Kingdom, the Ministry of Justice announced in a statement.
Among those pardoned, 1,203 are currently incarcerated, while 299 are free. The clemency includes sentence reductions, full or partial pardons, and commutations of life sentences for certain convicts.
Additionally, 31 inmates convicted of extremism and terrorism-related offenses have been granted royal leniency after expressing their commitment to national principles, renouncing extremism, and revising their ideological views.
