Following the decision to refer Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi to trial on rape charges, excerpts from the investigating judge’s order were published on Wednesday by RMC. On the pitch as well, Paris Saint-Germain supporters voiced their backing for the player.
According to the judicial order, the complainant told investigators there had been «several attempts by the footballer to engage in sexual intercourse». A month after the alleged events in 2023, she reportedly had «hazy memories» and appeared to confuse certain stages of the evening.
However, the judge deemed her account «consistent and detailed» regarding the alleged digital penetration. The order states that this version is supported by message exchanges between the complainant and a friend during the evening at Achraf Hakimi’s home.
The document also notes that the young woman reported the alleged events to people close to her. At the same time, it is these same message exchanges that the defense challenges. Hakimi’s lawyer alleges manipulation and an attempted extortion, pointing to conversations between the two women that evening.
According to RMC, other messages suggest that the complainant’s friend sought to find out «what the police knew about their correspondences», possibly with a view to deleting potentially compromising exchanges.
The defense has also requested that investigators thoroughly examine the complainant’s conversations, noting that she «did not wish to hand over her phone to the police», along with other elements and information requested during the investigation.
Additionally, the order indicates that the complainant declined «gynecological examinations and scheduled appointments at the medico-judicial unit».
Finally, two psychological assessments reportedly found that some of her statements did not «reflect the vocabulary of a sexual assault victim», while noting the presence of «an anxious post-traumatic reaction».
