Under the directives of King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, the registration process for the 2026 military service began on Monday, March 2, and will run until April 30. The initiative targets young people aged 19 to 25 as of September 1, with a view to enrolling them in the next intake of conscripts scheduled for September 1, 2026.
In accordance with the legal provisions governing military service, the Central Census Commission, chaired by the President of the Chamber at the Court of Cassation, met on February 18 at the Ministry of the Interior to establish the criteria for identifying eligible candidates required to complete the registration form for the 2026 cohort. According to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, the objective is to uphold the principle of equality among citizens while ensuring balanced representation across the Kingdom’s regions.
The Minister of the Interior has called on young people who receive notification, either personally or through a family member, to complete the registration form online via the dedicated platform, www.tajnid.ma, starting Monday, March 2, 2026.
Young men and women who meet the age requirements but have not received a summons and wish to undertake military service may also register on the same website between March 2 and April 30. In accordance with the law, the process is likewise open to young Moroccans residing abroad who are registered with consular services and wish to fulfill their military service.
The Minister added that further information is available through local administrative authorities, orientation services in prefectures and provinces, or via the official website www.tajnid.ma.
