Morocco braces for strong thunderstorms with hail Wednesday and Thursday

Strong thunderstorms accompanied by hail are forecast for Wednesday and Thursday across several Moroccan provinces, as reported by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).

The DGM has issued an orange-level alert, indicating that locally intense thunderstorms, bringing 25 to 35 mm of rain and hail, are expected from Wednesday through to 1:00 AM Thursday in the provinces of Errachidia, Midelt, Tata, Tinghir, Figuig, Azilal, Marrakech, Khouribga, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, El Kelaâ des Sraghna, Essaouira, Rhamna, and Youssoufia.
