Security authorities at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca have detained a 53-year-old French national of Algerian origin, who was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the French judiciary.

The arrest followed a check against the Interpol database, revealing that the individual was wanted internationally under a red notice. He is suspected of being connected to a network involved in money laundering activities linked to fraudulent operations, with financial sums estimated in the millions of euros.

The relevant authorities have initiated extradition procedures under the supervision of the Public Prosecution. Meanwhile, the National Central Bureau, "Interpol Rabat," has informed its French counterpart about the details of the arrest.
