Morocco’s National Railway Office has announced a special train schedule for Eid al-Adha 1447 AH, running from Wednesday, May 20 through June 7, in order to accommodate increased passenger traffic under what it described as the best conditions of comfort and safety.
In a statement issued Thursday, ONCF said the program includes additional trains and reinforced capacity on the busiest routes during the holiday period.
For the Al Boraq high-speed trains, ONCF said a special schedule will ensure one departure every hour between Tangier, Kenitra, Rabat, and Casablanca from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. for outbound journeys. An additional train departing at 10 p.m. will also be introduced, alongside increased seating capacity during peak travel periods throughout Eid al-Adha.
Atlas trains will also see reinforced capacity and additional services on major routes, particularly Marrakech–Casablanca–Fez and Tangier–Fez–Oujda, as well as routes serving Oujda, Nador, Khouribga, and Safi.
As for the rapid shuttle trains, ONCF said the regular service schedule will be maintained during the Eid travel period, with a special adjustment on Eid day itself to better match passenger demand.
The railway operator added that it will strengthen reception, assistance, and passenger guidance teams at stations and onboard trains, while technical teams will remain mobilized around the clock throughout the holiday period.
ONCF also urged passengers to purchase round-trip tickets in advance to avoid queues and guarantee seat availability. Tickets can be bought at station counters and ticket machines, online via ONCF Voyages, through the ONCF Voyages mobile app, or via partner networks including Cash Plus, Barid Cash, and Tasshilat.
The company noted that the number of train services will be reduced on Eid day itself, and invited customers to check schedules through its official communication channels, including its website, customer service center, mobile app, WhatsApp channel, and automated assistant service.
