The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication and the GameEarly platform signed a letter of intent on Friday in Rabat, on the sidelines of the third Morocco Gaming Expo (MGE 2026), aimed at strengthening Morocco’s gaming ecosystem.
Signed by the supervising minister, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, and GameEarly president Lionel Lydian Feneck, the letter of intent deepens bilateral cooperation in the sector through training, innovation, investment, and the exchange of expertise.
Under the agreement, the platform plans to establish its Moroccan subsidiary, GameEarly Morocco, and launch an investment project in Rabat by the fourth quarter of 2026. The goal is to turn the group into a major regional hub for the gaming industry in Africa.
Speaking to the press, Bensaid said the group’s decision to set up in Morocco reflects the country’s attractiveness and the high level of talent among its young people, while stressing its significant impact in terms of job creation.
“Thanks to their excellence, efforts and skills, our young people are succeeding in convincing international investors to come, set up operations and invest in Morocco,” he said.
For his part, GameEarly’s president said the company aims to build a structure in Morocco rooted in the country’s national identity, with the goal of supporting the rise of local video games by drawing on the strong potential of Moroccan startups.
He also welcomed the emergence of startups and development studios in Morocco, noting that several local initiatives stand out for their remarkable creations and strong growth potential.
The signing of this letter of intent comes as Morocco seeks to consolidate a sustainable ecosystem dedicated to gaming, one that promotes investment, innovation and job creation, while strengthening the country’s appeal to international investors.
