King Mohammed VI has sent a message of condolence and sympathy to Claude Chirac following the death of her mother, Bernadette Chirac.
In the message, the Sovereign said he had learned with deep emotion of Bernadette Chirac’s passing and, at this painful moment, extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to Claude Chirac, as well as to all members of her esteemed family and loved ones.
«The Kingdom of Morocco will cherish the memory of a woman of great distinction who faithfully embodied a rich legacy of human, family and patriotic values. We pay tribute to the memory of a woman who, alongside President Jacques Chirac, a sincere friend of Morocco and its people, consistently showed great esteem for the Kingdom», the Sovereign said.
The King recalled the bonds of mutual respect, shared trust and steadfast friendship that, over the years, united the Chirac family with the Moroccan Royal Family, helping to strengthen the exceptional relations between Morocco and France.
«We held your late mother in special personal affection, shaped by precious memories we shared», the Sovereign said.
