The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) and Royal Air Maroc are launching a new air route linking Ouarzazate to Marrakech, starting from November the 11th. The two cities will be connected by 3 flights a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), operated by an ATR72 (70 seats), said Wednesday a joint statement of the ONMT and RAM.
The flights, lasting only 40 minutes, will be offered for 300 DH one way in economy class (600 DH round trip), and 600 DH one way in business class (1200 DH round trip). Tickets are already available online on www.royalairmaroc.com, in the company's sales offices and on travel agencies’ websites.
«This new service is part of the actions carried out by the ONMT in order to increase the attractiveness of the Ouarzazate region and make it more accessible from Marrakech,» the statement said. It also asserts that the Marrakech-Ouarzazate air route strengthens the company's domestic network, which now has 23 routes connecting various cities in the Kingdom.
The flights are scheduled at 16:45 from Marrakech for an arrival scheduled in Ouarzazate around 17:25. Those programmed from Ouarzazate will leave at 18h05 to arrive in Marrakech at around 18h45.
