The queen of pop Madonna is reportedly celebrating her 60th birthday in Morocco, throwing a mega party in Marrakech, several media platforms reported this week.
The American singer and songwriter’s birthday party is expected to take place on August the 16th, in the Kasbah Tamadot resort in Marrakech.
Madonna did not officially reveal where she is holding her birthday party, but she posted on her Facebook page a picture of herself wearing Berber headpiece jewelry, a Fez and Moroccan necklaces. «Today I am wearing a cake on my head! 2 more days», she wrote 19 hours ago on her account.
In different posts, the popular singer promised her fans that she will be raising money on the occasion of her 60th birthday to help children in Malawi.
«For my birthday, I can think of no better gift than connecting my global family with this beautiful country and the children who need our help most», she explained in a Facebook post.
Madonna is not the only celebrity to pick Morocco and most precisely Marrakech as a location for her birthday. Earlier this year, British-born Hollywood star celebrated his 41st birthday in the city, attending the third race of the Formula E season.
Accompanied by his famous friend, Leonardo DiCaprio, the star mostly known for his epic role in the film series Lord of the Rings, quad biked in the desert all while posing with Alejandro Agag, founder and CEO of Formula E. He also drove one of the race cars with the help of Sam Bird, ABB FIA Formula E Championship leader.
