In accordance with High royal instructions, a judicial inquiry is under way to determine the real causes of the tragic derailment of a train on Tuesday in Bouknadel (near Rabat), and to establish responsibilities, said, Thursday in Rabat, head of government, Saâd Eddine El Othmani.
Opening the weekly Cabinet meeting, El Othmani stressed that the investigation is ongoing in order to establish responsibilities and draw lessons, adding that he was in direct contact with the ministers of Interior and Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water who reached the scene of the accident on the king's High instructions.
El Othmani described this accident, which caused many victims and wounded, as tragic, imploring the Almighty to grant patience and comfort to the grieveing families and prompt recovery to the injured.
He also commended the efforts of all medical and civil defense personnel who provided the necessary care to the wounded and thanked the citizens who had mobilized to donate their blood for the benefit of the victims, in a show of solidarity that testifies to the sincere patriotism of the Moroccan people.
