A Moroccan marketing professor is allegedly involved in a fake anti-Qatar protest, held in September (2018) in front of the UN headquarters in Manhattan, New York.

Nezha T., identified by British newspaper the Independent, is accused of having allegedly asked people on Facebook to attend an anti-Qatar demonstration and offered them $100 each.

The protest in question took place after Qatar announced that it is victim of an «international smear campaign», the same source said.

In fact, one of the women that attended the demonstration in question told the British newspaper that she saw a Facebook post, asking locals in Brooklyn to «wave flags» and «stand for peace» on September the 25th, without mentioning Qatar.

Once in Manhattan, the woman who requested anonymity was handed down $100 by Nezha T. and an anti-Qatar flag. The woman gave the money back to the Moroccan woman and left after she realized that the protest targeted Qatar during a meeting between British Prime Minister Theresa May and the ruler of Arab country.

«The group assembled by the woman who made the original Facebook post for extras were mostly folks who were French speaking and maybe about 30-40 of us», reported the woman.

The latter shared with the Independent the message allegedly sent to her by Nezha T. : «I am organizing an event which is to promote peace in the world. There will be music, speeches for peace that will be before the United Nations», wrote the Moroccan professor.

«I need extras of people who will just listen to the speech, applaud and have the flags of all the countries around the world. These extras are paid $100 each», said the same text message.

According to the same source, Nezha T. is listed on LinkedIn as a Marketing professor for HEM, a private business school in Morocco. She is also president of a PR agency, located in France.

Nezha T. is also allegedly involved in «an unusual cast of figures apparently involved in arranging fake protests against the oil rich state», concluded the Independent.

Yabiladi couldn’t reach the PR company, Nezha T. is heading.
