Hirak figure Nasser Zefzafi, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence, was moved from his prison cell to the hospital for a check-up, wrote his father Ahmed Zefzafi on his Facebook account.
For the record, last week, Nasser Zefzafi’s family and lawyers said that the detainee developed complications that could lead to a «stroke», responding to a communiqué published by the prison administration. They also denounced the way in which he was taken care of in prison.
The National Human Rights Council (CNDH), an institution for the protection and promotion of human rights in Morocco, announced Thursday that Zefzafi is fine amid concerns over his health.
The news was announced after CNDH sent a three-member delegation to the Casablanca local prison to check on Zefzafi’s health.
The delegation concluded that Zefzafi’s «health condition should not be anything to worry about», wrote the Council in a communiqué sent Thursday to Yabiladi.
