Afcon 2019 : Achraf Hakimi named in group stage best squad

Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi was named in CAF’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Team of the Group Stage.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) selected 18 players who have been impressive across different national teams in the competition.

The team includes 7 Arab players.

The starting XI comprises Egyptian goalkeeper Mohamed El Shennawy and his compatriots Ahmed Hegazy, Ahmed El Mohammady and Mohamed Salah, Morocco's Achraf Hakimi, Cameroon's Yahaya Banana, Algeria's Riyad Mahrez and Ismail Bennacer, Madagascar's sensation Carolus Andriamahitsinoro, Ghana's Andre Ayew and Senegalese Sadio Mane.

Substitutes include Cameroon's Andre Onana, Algeria's Youcef Atal and Morocco's Medhi Benatia.
