Since the 20th century, the relationship of the Moroccan community of Jewish faith with the Monarchy has been particularly marked by aspects of sacredness. There are historical reasons for this relationship as well as a feeling of belongingness to Morocco which has not been lost through the generations.
The American decision recognizing Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara «will push other nations to follow suit», Morocco’s head of government said on Monday. Saadeddine El Othmani reassured that revoking this decision, even through a decree from the American Congress, remains «very difficult».
