Morocco faces scorching 46°C heatwave through Friday
A heatwave and thundery showers, accompanied by a risk of hail and strong wind gusts, are expected from Wednesday to Friday in several provinces across Morocco, the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) said.
In an orange-level weather alert, the DGM forecast temperatures of 44 to 46°C from Wednesday to Friday in the provinces of Zagora, Tata, Assa-Zag, Boujdour, Es-Semara, Aousserd and Oued Ed-Dahab.
Over the same period, temperatures of 41 to 44°C are expected in Kenitra,
