Suspect who appeared in video using violence against demonstrators arrested

The judicial police in Rabat arrested, on Thursday on the basis of precise information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), the suspect who appeared in video footage, last Wednesday in Rabat, using violence against participants in a demonstration.

In a press release, the National Police (DGSN) said that the judicial police services in charge of investigating this case had started all the necessary preliminary research, in the light of the data and recordings posted on social networks, which made it possible to identify the suspect involved in the perpetration of these criminal acts and to arrest him.

The suspect was placed in police custody for the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, in order to determine the ins and outs of this case, the DGSN concluded.
