Local authorities in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region have announced the ban of a sit-in, scheduled for Tuesday, March 30 at 5 p.m. to protest against normalization with Israel.

In a press release, authorities explain that this decision is based on the extension of health measures to limit the spread of the new coronavirus.

These measures notably prohibit public gatherings, local authorities recalled, stressing the emergence of new variants of the virus whose spread is faster.

In this sense, the same source indicated that it prohibited any demonstration in public places, in order to avoid any contravention of the requirements of the state of health emergency.
