Over 4 tons of cannabis resin seized at Tangier-Med port

Policemen and customs services seized on Tuesday at the port of Tangier-Med 4.4 tons of cannabis resin that was concealed in an international transport truck.

The driver of the Morocco-registered vehicle who was heading for Europe was arrested, national police said in a release.

The suspect, aged 44, was placed on custody, while investigations are underway under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office, it added.

On Monday, authorities seized 8.83 tons of cannabis resin that was concealed in an international transport truck at teh same port.
