Coronavirus : Moroccan authorities recommend preventive containment

The Ministries of the Interior and of Health recommend, starting from Wednesday, preventive confinement at home for Moroccan citizens to curb the spread of coronavirus.

In a press release sent Wednesday to Yabiladi, the two departments urged citizens to limit their outdoor activities as much as possible and go out only to get supplies, or for work/health-related matters.

The same source reports that «the local authorities as well as the Auxiliary Forces, Royal Gendarmerie and National Security will work on assisting citizens while implementing these preventive measures».

The same communiqué reassured Moroccans about food supplies and other products. The two ministries also urged Moroccans to comply with hygiene measures to limit the spread of the virus.
