Morocco is planning to ease the strict lockdown measures it implemented in March to avoid the spread of the coronavirus. The measures take into consideration the disparities in the infection rate between regions, dividing the country into two different zones.
The World Bank expects Morocco’s GDP for 2020 to fall by -4% due to the coronavirus health crisis. The figure is expected to improve by 2021.
While some of them were allowed to open their doors, businesses that were forced to suspend their activities during the lockdown in Morocco are struggling to keep their heads above water.
