Moroccans studying abroad have found themselves unable to get by amid the global health crisis. Unable to pay rent and food, some of them are faced with homelessness.
In an open letter, AMDH denounced the «indifference of Moroccan embassies and consulates», coupled with «favoritism» for the aid granted to stranded Moroccans and the opacity regarding the criteria for establishing lists.
According to Morocco's Foreign Minister, the repatriation of stranded Moroccans is expected to accelerate in the coming days. Meanwhile, Operation Marhaba will not take place this summer.
