Heavy rains, snowfall, and cold wave forecast for Morocco from Monday to Wednesday

Heavy rainfall with occasional thunderstorms, gusty winds, and local hail, snowfalls, and cold weather are expected from Monday to Wednesday in several provinces of the Kingdom, the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) announced in an orange weather alert.

Heavy rainfall (35-50mm) is expected from Monday, 00:00 AM to Tuesday, 06:00 AM, in the provinces of Taourirt, Figuig, Guercif, Boulemane, Errachidia, Tinghir, and Midelt.

Moderate rainfall (25-30mm) will also affect the provinces of Ouarzazate, Al Haouz, Sefrou, Taza, Béni Mellal, Azilal, Mdiq-Fnideq, and Fahs-Anjra on Monday, from 06:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Additionally, snowfall (10-40cm) above 2000 meters is forecast for Boulemane, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Al Haouz, Tinghir, Midelt, Guercif, and Ouarzazate from Monday, 00:00 AM to Tuesday, 06:00 AM.

Cold weather (minimum temperatures between -3°C and 3°C) is predicted from Monday to Wednesday in Azilal, Béni Mellal, Al Haouz, Midelt, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Boulemane, and Ifrane.
