The 7th Digital Earth Summit 2018, a global initiative aimed at harnessing the world's data and information resources to quantitatively describe and represent our planet, is to be held in El Jadida, Morocco from 17th to the 18th of April 2018, according to International Society for Digital Earth.

The annual event will be hosted and co-organized by Chouaib Doukkali university and the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE) in partnership with the African Association of Remote Sensing of the Environment (AARSE) and the Moroccan Association of Remote Sensing of the Environment (MARSE).

The summit is supposed to be attended by scientists and professionals from the international and African community to share their latest achievements, experiences and expertise. According to the same source, the conference «will feature keynote speeches delivered by leading experts, technical sessions with reports of the latest research outcomes, discussion sessions on operational topics such as capacity building, Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI), big data, space policy, programmes and projects, as well as commercial exhibitions showing latest products and services in Digital Earth and geospatial information technologies.»
